Nets

The Nets are among the teams with interest in free-agent center Mitchell Robinson, according to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Brooklyn recently traded starting center Nic Claxton to the Bulls and still has ample salary cap flexibility despite acquiring Julius Randle.

Stein and Fischer reported the Nets remain interested in being competitive next season, making Robinson an appealing target alongside young center Day’Ron Sharpe.

The Lakers are also believed to have interest in Robinson, while a return to the Knicks remains possible. However, New York’s desire to stay below the second tax apron could complicate efforts to retain the veteran big man.

Pistons

In case you missed it, the Pistons have agreed to acquire guard Isaiah Joe from the Thunder in exchange for two future second-round picks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Joe has developed into one of the league’s most reliable three-point shooters, knocking down at least 40.9 percent from beyond the arc in each of the past four seasons.

He averaged 11.1 points in 71 games last season while shooting 42.3 percent on three-pointers.

Detroit has been searching for additional floor spacing around Cade Cunningham, and Charania reported the Pistons also value the championship experience Joe brings after his four seasons in Oklahoma City.

Joe is owed $11.3 million next season and has a team option for 2027-28.

Meanwhile, the Thunder continue to trim salary after also agreeing to trade Aaron Wiggins to the Hawks, moves that could help Oklahoma City navigate the luxury tax.

Heat

The Heat have declined their $2.4 million team option on guard Jahmir Young, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Young spent most of last season on a two-way contract before earning a standard NBA deal late in the year.

While the move makes him a free agent, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported there’s still a chance Young returns to Miami on another two-way contract or a non-guaranteed deal.

The 25-year-old appeared in just 14 NBA games last season but excelled with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, averaging 26.0 points and 8.9 assists while earning All-NBA G League Second Team honors.

Miami is expected to use its roster flexibility to continue adding veteran talent following its blockbuster trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
